Grief Counseling
“Grief is like the ocean; it comes on waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim.”
-Vicki Harrison
Grief counseling is some of the most meaningful work I do. I was six years old when my three-year-old brother died, and that early loss, among others, has shaped my understanding of what it means to grieve and to keep living as a bereaved person. In reference to the quote above, my role as your grief counselor is to help you learn to swim while I swim alongside you. Whether you’ve experienced a traumatic loss, relationship loss, job loss, health loss, death loss, or any other loss I will walk alongside you with compassion, patience, and encouragement showing you how to do the work of grief.
I am a Certified Grief Specialist and am always seeking new learning about loss, grief, and post-loss growth so I can better support you along the journey.
