Play Therapy
“Toys are children’s words and play is their language.” - Gary Landreth
Children convey thoughts and emotions through play, exposing their inner world. I delight in working with children in this space, especially children who have experienced trauma. My background providing play therapy to children of homeless families taught me how much a child can process and heal when they're given the safe and attuned presence of an adult in the play therapy room. I approach this work with warmth and patience, meeting children where they are, deeply respecting their inner world, and letting their play lead the way toward healing.
